How would you like a piece of your best work exhibited to an international gathering of metal clay enthusiasts at our SINTER 26 event? Superbly Sintered 2026: Masterful Designs in Metal Clay will be a celebration of the very best designs from metal clay artists around the world.

Up to 22 pieces of exceptional work will be chosen by a distinguished jury for entry into this exhibition so the competition will be fierce.

And you have the chance of winning our Best in Show Award! The prize is $500 and the winner will be announced at the Exhibition opening ceremony on Thursday May 14, 2026.

Winning pieces will also be featured in a published exhibition catalog.

So, are you interested? Read on to find out how to submit a piece for consideration.

Submission opens October 1, 2025

What can be submitted?

For the 2026 exhibition, the submission guidelines are below, please review them carefully before submitting your work.

  • You can submit jewelry, body adornment or decorative items using any type or brand of metal clay.
  • Only work created between October 2023 and December 2025 will be considered. You will be required to include the creation year with your submission information.
  • Jurors will give precedence to new work which has not previously been exhibited publicly or in print. Please consider this carefully when you select pieces to submit.
  • Anything made using metal clay is acceptable including but not limited to jewelry, decorative items, bodily adornment, functional items etc.
  • All entries must use metal clay in part or in full. Mixed media work is acceptable, but the entry should use metal clay as a significant element in the design.

Remember, this exhibition is for exceptional work so make sure you submit your absolute best piece(s), well photographed and wow the jury.

How do I submit my entry?

We will use the ArtCall system that’s used for our challenges and calendar submissions. If you already have an ArtCall account, you can use that to log into the exhibition submission site.

The entry fee – see below – allows each artist to submit three pieces of work for consideration. For each submission, you have one main image to show the jury the piece so make sure it is clear, in focus and well lit. The jury needs to see the whole piece from the front as everything will be displayed that way in the exhibition. You can upload a second image to show detail if necessary.

Who can submit pieces for this exhibition?

This exhibition is open to everyone working in metal clay.

What is the deadline for entry?

  • Submission opens – 1st October 2025
  • Submission closes – 31st December 2025

What is the cost of entry?

There is a flat rate of $15 for both AMCAW members and non-members. This allows you to submit up to three pieces of work.

What else do I need to know?

The jury selection process will run in early January 2026 and successful artists will be informed by late January 2026. The piece will need to be sent to AMCAW by mid-March so the bespoke displays can be created.

Artists are responsible for all costs associated with shipping their piece by secure, insured courier with all customs and import duties paid if necessary. They must also arrange for insured return shipping and include a return shipping label with customs documentation when they send their piece.

Successful artists who are attending SINTER can retrieve their pieces on the afternoon of Sunday May 17, 2026 which is the last day of the Exhibition. The display will also be available for artists to take if they want it. If you know someone attending SINTER you can have them retrieve your piece for you, but you must let AMCAW know this when you send in your piece. Pieces returned to the artist by post will be packaged as they were received.

Please read the full terms and conditions for this exhibition before submitting something for jury consideration.
