Raffle & Auction Policies
Official Raffle Policies
- Everyone registered and attending SINTER 2024, except paid core staff, will be eligible to buy raffle tickets.
- Prize packages will be available to view at the times published in the SINTER programme and/or displayed on the event notice boards to those attending the event.
- Tickets cost £10 for one or a strip of five tickets is £30. Payment in GBP cash only is accepted, and the ticket is your proof of payment.
- Only tickets bought from official SINTER personnel are valid and the ticket number is then entered into the draw.
- Raffle tickets will be drawn at random from a ticket pool at specific times as published in the event programme and/or displayed on the event notice boards.
- Each raffle ticket will be drawn for a specific prize package which will be announced at the point the draw is made.
- Anyone buying a raffle ticket must keep the ticket and produce it at the point of receiving a prize if the ticket number is called. Failure to present the winning ticket at the point that the number is called will invalidate the win and another ticket will be drawn.
- Raffle prize winners MUST be in the room at the time their numbers are drawn to receive the prize. Other registered event attendees may NOT be deputized to accept a prize.
- Raffle prize winners may choose not to take the prize their ticket was drawn for and add this back into the prize pool to be drawn again. They must declare this at the point of winning the prize as taking the prize at the point of winning will be deemed as final and AMCAW will have no more responsibility for it.
- Raffle prize winners may choose to gift or swap their prize with others, but this will be a personal choice and action for which AMCAW has no responsibility.
- All raffle prizes must be taken at the point of winning. No prizes will be held in storage by AMCAW once the winning ticket holder has claimed the prize.
- Raffle prize winners are responsible, if necessary or desired, for all costs involved in shipping their prizes.
- Raffle tickets are non-refundable.
Official Online Auction Policies
- This fundraising auction is only available online through the official website at sinterevent.com/auction/ and is open to everyone.
- Pieces will be available to view online beginning on 22nd April 2024 and during SINTER at the times published in the SINTER programme and/or displayed on the event notice boards to those attending the event.
- Each auction item is as seen in the images and in the description and information the artist provided, reproduced on the website. This is assumed by AMCAW to be accurate. No responsibility for inaccuracies or inconsistencies will be accepted by AMCAW.
- Bidding will open at noon BST on 12th May 2024 and close at 12:30pm BST on 19th May 2024. Your bid constitutes a contract to buy the piece if you are the highest bidder.
- The highest bid when the auction closes will be the winner, and this will be deemed final.
- Once the auction closes, no further discussion, correspondence, or debate will be entered into and AMCAW will not be held responsible for issues anyone participating had that prevented them from bidding successfully.
- Payment for winning auction items is by Paypal online only. Payment for the piece is required as soon as the auction closes and within a maximum of 24 hours from 12:30pm BST on 19th May 2024. Failure to pay by 12:30pm BST on 20th May 2024 will result in the winning bid being declared null and void. The next highest bidder will then be declared the winner.
- Winners attending the SINTER event may pick up their piece on Sunday 19th May 2024 from 1pm onwards providing they have paid for the piece by Paypal. An email from Paypal confirming the piece has been paid for will be required as proof of payment before the piece is released.
- Winners not attending SINTER may nominate someone who is in attendance to pick up their piece providing they have paid for the piece by Paypal and told AMCAW the name of their nominated proxy. Pieces will not be released until both these requirements have been met.
- Winners not attending or nominating a proxy will be invoiced for shipping of their piece at the cost displayed in the shipping costs area of the auction page, to the address they have given. Pieces will not be shipped until both shipping and the piece has been paid for.
- The recipient is wholly responsible for any import duty, customs charges and/or tax applied at the point of delivery. AMCAW will not be responsible for any other charges applied after the piece has been shipped.
- Any issues once the auction piece has been received by the winner is to be addressed by the artist who created the piece. No responsibility for any issues with the piece will be accepted by AMCAW.
