SINTER26 Terms and Conditions

Thank you for your interest in attending SINTER. Before you proceed to purchase tickets, we strongly recommend you go through the following terms and conditions:

  • In this document, words like ‘bearer’, and ‘purchaser’, ‘attendee” and/or ‘participant’ will refer to you – the person who will buy the tickets to SINTER. On the other hand, ‘our’, ‘us’, ‘we’, ‘issuer’ and similar terms will indicate the organisers of SINTER, The Alliance for Metal Clay Arts Worldwide, referred to as AMCAW.
  • By opting to purchase tickets to SINTER, you automatically agree to our terms of use. If you have problems with any of the clauses listed below or do not agree with the behaviour or risk allocations mentioned here, please do not purchase tickets.
  • Please note that AMCAW reserves the right to make changes, revisions, and amendments, or add/remove sections from this set of terms and conditions, without any prior notifications to you. Such changes will be duly reflected on the AMCAW website (AMCAW.ORG). These changes will relate back to the date of purchase of SINTER tickets.

Ticket Prices

SINTER, May 13 – May 19, 2026

  • Early Bird / Member price:  $489 – on sale from 1 September 2025
  • Regular / Member price:  $539 – on sale from 15 September 2025
  • Regular / Non-Member price:  $629 – on sale from 15 September 2025

SINTER ticket includes Welcome Reception on Thursday May 14, 2026, lunch May 15, 2026, lunch and dinner on Saturday May 16, 2026, and lunch on Sunday May 17, 2026.

  • Pre-SINTER Workshops, May 13-14, 2026 – $489.00
  • Post-SINTER Workshops, May 18-19, 2026 – $489.00

Pre-SINTER Workshop ticket includes lunch Wednesday May 13, 2026 and lunch on Thursday May 14, 2026.

Post-SINTER Workshop ticket includes lunch on Monday May 18, 2026 and lunch on Tuesday May 19, 2026.

  • A ticket to attend SINTER is required to purchase a workshop. No workshop tickets will be issued to anyone who does not also have a ticket to attend SINTER.

General Terms of Ticket Purchase

  • The ticket you purchase represents a license for you to access DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Orlando between May 13, 2024 and May 19, 2026 when SINTER and the pre- and post-SINTER workshops are scheduled to be hosted.
  • The license includes the right to attend the part of the SINTER event you have paid for.
  • Kindly note that AMCAW.ORG is the sole authorized source for purchasing SINTER and pre- and post-SINTER workshop tickets. If you obtain your ticket(s) from any other source, you must notify AMCAW immediately to ensure your ticket(s) are valid.
  • The SINTER tickets emailed to you are not meant to be used for illegal reselling, copying, reproducing, or misrepresenting in any form. You cannot use the ticket(s) for any promotional/advertising purposes either (including sweepstakes and competitions) without our prior approval. Any proven record of such activities will result in immediate cancellation of your ticket(s).
  • Please note that SINTER tickets cannot be redeemed against cash, credits, or any other benefits.
  • AMCAW has the right to investigate if there has been any violation of the SINTER ticketing terms and conditions. In case of any conflicts, the decision of AMCAW will be deemed final (i.e., the issuer will remain the final arbiter in cases of disputes).

Hotel Bookings

AMCAW has a preferential bed and breakfast rate with DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Orlando which you can purchase until April 20, 2026 or until the hotel is sold out, whichever is sooner.

If a guest who has requested a room within Group’s Room Block checks out prior to the guest’s reserved checkout date, the Hotel will add an early checkout fee of one night’s room and tax to that guest’s individual account. Guests wishing to avoid an early checkout fee should advise the Hotel at or before check-in of any change in planned length of stay.

Room Rate & Inclusions

By booking within the AMCAW room block, you will receive a guaranteed nightly rate of $178.88 ($159.00 per night plus applicable 12.5% tax) per room ($89.44 per night inc. taxes per person if sharing).

This rate includes:

  • Two free breakfast buffets per room per day
  • Free parking (a $30/day value)
  • Waived resort fee (normally $25/day)

If you have an additional guest in your room, breakfast is available for them at a discounted rate of $15.00, payable at the restaurant.

The room block dates are May 7 to 23. If you plan to arrive earlier or stay later, please email us at info@sinterevent.com, and we will coordinate with the hotel on your behalf.

Food Allergies and Preferences 

  • We take food allergies very seriously. Please make sure you indicate any food allergies on the registration form, and we will communicate them to the hotel. If you have not indicated any food allergies or intolerances on your registration form, AMCAW will not be held responsible for any subsequent issues encountered.
  • The hotel requires the full names of individuals with all dietary allergen requirements and the accurate detail of intolerances. Please be aware that whilst they will try their best to ensure all food is suitable for you, their dishes are prepared in areas in which allergenic ingredients are present and so they cannot guarantee that all dishes are 100% free of these ingredients due to the preparation process.

SINTER Cancellations

We understand that life happens and sometimes the best-laid plans go astray. If you need to cancel your attendance at SINTER:

  • Full refund (less a $50 processing fee) if you cancel before March 15, 2026 (60 days prior to SINTER).
  • SINTER registrations are not transferable.
  • Membership fees are non-refundable.
  • No refunds will be issued for SINTER cancellations made on or after March 16, 2026.

Pre- and Post-SINTER Workshop Cancellations
Pre- and Post-SINTER Workshops are non-refundable, but may be transferred:

  • Workshop registrants may sell or gift their workshop to another individual.
  • Both the original and new registrants must notify AMCAW immediately of the transfer.
  • The sale and any transfer of payment for the workshop registration is solely the responsibility of the workshop registrants.
  • The new registrant must be an AMCAW member in good standing, or become a member, at the time of the transfer.
  • The new registrant must also hold a valid ticket to SINTER. No workshop tickets will be issued to anyone who does not also have a ticket to attend SINTER.

If a workshop does not meet the minimum attendance requirement at least 90 days (February 13, 2026) prior to the start of SINTER, AMCAW will contact the attendee to either:

  • Apply the payment to another workshop with space available.
  • Refund the payment in full to the registrant.

Reschedule or Cancellation by AMCAW

If SINTER and/or the pre- and post-SINTER workshops are canceled entirely due to any unforeseen circumstances, AMCAW has the sole and absolute right to:

  • reschedule the event, or
  • issue a partial/full refund.

These factors will be inclusive of, but not limited to, causes beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, epidemics, pandemics, government restrictions, civil unrest within a five-mile radius of the venue, or Centers for Disease Control Level 3 travel advisories for the event location make it illegal, impossible, or commercially impracticable for the SINTER event to be held.

Please note, the decision of AMCAW will be considered final and binding.

If AMCAW must reschedule the event for any reason, all SINTER and pre-/post-SINTER workshop registrations will be transferred to the new date. Registrants may request a refund, less a $25 processing fee per item, in writing within 60 days of the reschedule announcement.

If AMCAW must cancel the event for any reason, all payments will be refunded to the registrant within 120 days of the cancellation announcement.

Additional Information

  • Refunds of any type will be returned to the registrant using the same payment method.
  • AMCAW will provide notice of reschedule or cancellation as soon as possible. However, we cannot be held responsible for your travel or accommodation costs, and strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance.
  • In case the event is fully canceled, the refund, if issued, will include ONLY the face value/printed value of the ticket(s). The bearer cannot, under any circumstances, claim refunds on shipping fees, processing fees, handling fees, and such other charges.
  • Losses, if any, occurring due to foreign exchange fluctuations at the time of refunds, must be borne by the purchaser. AMCAW cannot in any way, be held liable for that.

Data Protection

You agree and accept that AMCAW will be using your personal data entered here to deliver the product or service you are purchasing and to communicate relevant information about the delivery of the product or service to you. In accepting this agreement, you are indicating that you have read and accept our Privacy Policy and the terms of use in this document.

By purchasing SINTER tickets and registering to attend at the venue, you give your consent to AMCAW to collect certain information about yourself (for example: name, picture, date of birth, gender, address, etc.) for verification and storage.

Photo/Video Release

By registering for any AMCAW event the participant is giving permission for the participant’s photo/ image taken at the event to be used in AMCAW publications, print, video and online for general promotion of AMCAW.

E-Mail Release

  • By registering for this event, you are giving AMCAW permission to communicate with you about AMCAW, AMCAW events and your membership.
  • If you have registered for a workshop, you are giving AMCAW permission to share your contact information with the workshop instructor. The instructor will communicate directly with participants regarding supply lists and other information.
  • AMCAW will not otherwise sell or share email addresses outside AMCAW.

Personal Conduct

  • SINTER and AMCAW follow a common ‘zero-tolerance policy’ towards unauthorized drug usage or carrying weapons at the venue, AND towards any type of behavior/actions that can be interpreted as disruptive, offensive to other guests or attendees, lewd or obscene.
  • If you are found in possession of prohibited items at SINTER and/or if you indulge in any objectionable action, your participation in the event will be terminated immediately. Your event and meal ticket(s) will become void from that point on.
  • No meals or alcohol are allowed to be brought into the hotel during the event. Small snacks, for instance crisps, chocolate or sweets, biscuits or savory snacks and soft drinks are permitted but should be kept in your bedroom and not consumed in public areas of the hotel.
  • Smoking and vaping are not allowed in bedrooms or public areas of the hotel except in the designated areas.

Attendee Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk

  • AMCAW does not take any responsibility to personal/financial damages caused to you at the venue, or for any items lost/stolen/misplaced at the venue. Financial reimbursement claims on these counts will not be entertained.
  • Please note that you purchase SINTER tickets of your own free will. As such, you do not have the right to initiate a chargeback claim or dispute on the provider of the credit card/debit card that had been used for the transaction. Further refund/return/cancellation requests will not be entertained either.
  • In all cases of disputes between the ticket-bearer and the ticket-issuer, the decision of the latter will be deemed final. In case a dispute cannot be resolved, the help of an independent third-party arbiter will be sought.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK 

  • Participant, on behalf of themselves, desires to participate in SINTER 2026 (Program) presented by Alliance for Metal Clay Arts Worldwide, Inc. (AMCAW), a Connecticut non-profit corporation and as lawful consideration for being permitted to participate in the Program, agrees to all the terms and conditions set forth in this Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk (the Release”).
  • Participant warrants they are mentally and physically fit, capable, able, and willing to participate in the Program.
  • Participant hereby agrees to use all necessary safety equipment required for the Program, at all times.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: PARTICIPANT IS AWARE AND UNDERSTANDS THAT PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM INCLUDES INHERENT RISKS, HAZARDS, AND DANGERS, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, POSSIBLE INJURIES FROM EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, AND OTHER PERSONS. PARTICIPANT IS AWARE AND UNDERSTANDS THAT PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM INVOLVES THE RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE, SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR DEATH. PARTICIPANT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THEY ARE VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM WITH KNOWLEDGE OF THE DANGERS INVOLVED AND HEREBY EXPRESSLY ASSUME ANY AND ALL RISKS OF INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF AMCAW OR OTHERWISE.

WAIVER AND RELEASE: PARTICPANT HEREBY EXPRESSLY WAIVES, RELEASES, AND FOREVER DISCHARGES AMCAW, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS (COLLECTIVELY, “RELEASEES”) FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, CAUSES OF ACTION, DAMAGES, LOSSES, AND LIABILITIES, ARISING OUT OF MY PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM. THIS WAIVER, RELEASE AND DISCHARGE SPECIFICALLY INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, LIABILITY OR CLAIMS FOR INJURY, ILLNESS OR DEATH ALLEGED TO HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF ANY RELEASEES. PARTICIPANT COVENANTS NOT TO MAKE OR BRING ANY SUCH CLAIM AGAINST AMCAW OR ANY OTHER RELEASEE, AND FOREVER RELEASES AND DISCHARGES AMCAW AND ALL OTHER RELEASEES FROM LIABILITY UNDER SUCH CLAIMS.

INDEMNITY: PARTICIPANT hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless AMCAW and all Releasees from any and all claims of any kind or nature, which may be brought against them with respect to my participation in the Program.

CONSENT TO MEDICAL TREATMENT: In the event of any accident or injury, Participant, hereby gives the officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents of AMCAW prior consent to procure any medical treatment deemed advisable on behalf of the Participant, including, but not limited to, arranging any medical emergency services which may be required, including any travel incident thereto, and PARTICIPANT hereby assumes sole responsibility and agrees to pay for the costs of such treatment.
